A S Level Geography consists of 2 modules Unit 1 Global Challenges This unit is split into 2 parts World at Risk and Going Global. Some of the topic areas you will study include natural hazards global warming climate change economic changes globalisation and current migration flows. Unit 2 Geographical investigations This unit is split into 2 parts Crowded coasts and Rebranding places. Some of the topic areas you will study include coastal development coastal ecosystems exploitation & management of valuable coast lines. How rural & urban areas are re imaging & regenerating and the economic reasons that this has become necessary. This unit involves fieldwork activities. A2 Geography consists of two modules Unit 3 Contested planet This unit will examine topics including energy security water conflict biodiversity threats super power geographies bridging the development gap and the technological fix. Unit 4 Geographical research Students will select a research option which will reflect their geographical interest. These are based around physical social cultural or environmental geography.
