Students that are preparing to transition to employment will increase their work experience placements to support the transition. All students undertake in-house work-based learning in the café, shop, kitchen and reception areas to build confidence in working with the public. Once students are move confident they will move to a 'real work placement' in the community in an area that links to their EHCP planned outcomes. For example if you are looking to work in retail then you will work in the college shop as well as local retail outlets in preparation for moving to paid or voluntary work opportunities.
