Media Studies GCE AS/A2 Level

Media Studies is a modern qualification which develops both analytical and production skills. Half the course is assessed via production work, where students are encourages to work with colleagues to produce videos. Students use a range of new technologies to complete their production coursework, including podcsting and blogging. There is also an exam-based unit which looks at a range of media such as television, film, newspapers and the internet. This course is for students interested in issues such as how social networking sites like Facebook are impacting on society or why we have film censorship.
