A BTEC / QCF Level 5 Qualification for Engineering Technicians. This conversion course has two pathways - Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic - and delivers the extra modules needed, in addition to those already acquired at HNC (level 4), to provide the full complement of sixteen required by BTEC for their Level 5 HND qualification. However, please be aware that with external HND applicants, it may not be possible to match the modules they have completed at HNC level to those delivered here at Kingston for the conversion. Indicative Content (subject to variation/change). Precise content would depend on HNC modules previously gained by the applicant and modules which we are able to deliver. It may not be possible to provide an appropriate match. Standard modules have been: Further Analytical Methods (ie: Maths) Health, Safety and Risk Assessment Managing Individuals and Teams Mechanical Pathway: Strengths of Materials Dynamics of Machines Electrical / Electronic Pathway: Electronics/Operational Amplifiers Data Comms and Networks. Other modules will depend on what can be matched.
