The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Operations and Maintenance is a two year part time course which provides a broad base of knowledge and understanding for those involved in the maintenance of engineering components, products and systems. It is electro-mechanical in content and supports individuals working in a multi-disciplinary environment. Modules studied include: Applications of Mechanical Systems and Technology Electrical and Electronic Principles Mathematics for Technicians Engineering Maintenance Procedures and Techniques Communications for Technicians Engineering Project Business Operations in Engineering Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace Industrial Process Controllers Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials Electrical Technology Students are assessed during the course through assignments, projects, laboratory work and tests.
