Help to keep children safe, support pupils' learning activities, promote positive behaviour, develop and promote positive relationships, support the development and effectiveness of work teams and reflect on and develop practice, plus four optional units. Examples include: support literacy development, support numeracy development, support pupils with behavioural, emotional and social development needs, support gifted and talented pupils, support bilingual/multilingual pupils. Assessment will be through a portfolio of work. There are no formal qualifications.
