The objective of this application is to move some of the City’s most deprived and disadvantaged residents into work, or closer to the labour market. Learners will learn skills in confidence building & self-esteem, self-marketing skills and interview prep. By the end of the course learners will have a completed CV and take part in mock interviews in the employment field of their choice. Learners will have an IAG session to turn awareness of their strengths and barriers into an action plan personalised to them. The over-arching outcomes will help to raise aspirations and support self-sufficiency while also supporting progression in vocational training leading to employment opportunities. On completion of the course we will 'Track' progression and provide evidence to funders. These courses will be offering employability to long term unemployed learners across the city to meet the individual learning needs of three different client groups:
