Supporting Teaching and Learning L2 Study Programme - Pathway to Apprenticeship

Our Level 2 Pathway programme is ideal for learners that have some experience and are either job ready but have found it difficult to secure an Apprenticeship programme, or, need a little more support and training to become job ready. This is a 12 month programme and consists of weekly full day Childcare training at one of our centres where interactive, engaging & interesting sessions are planned covering a range of subjects such as: Health & Safety, Safeguarding, and The EYFS curriculum. A high quality placement for 2 days each week is provided where learners are mentored and supported in a childcare or education setting. The main methods of assessment for this programme are: Direct observation in the workplace by a qualified childcare assessor, creating a portfolio of evidence using our online portfolio system, reflection on own practice and professional discussion. Our partnership with the childcare & education settings and regular visits to these settings places learners in a good position to secure employment in the future. This programme also applies to Primary School settings where learners can work alongside a class teacher for 2 days each week and undertake the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.
