Our Level 1 Pathway Programme is ideal for learners brand new to childcare who are not yet job ready. This is a 10 - 12 month programme and includes a full day each week attending Childcare training at one of our TP centres. Weekly full day Childcare sessions are designed to be interesting, engaging and interactive. In addition to covering key Childcare topics such as Child Development, Health & Safety and Play, carefully chosen units are embedded throughout delivery that focus on learners own personal and social development. These qualifications are achieved by completing a portfolio of evidence. We use an online portfolio system and learners are supported in training sessions to produce a range of portfolio evidence. In addition to relevant Childcare qualifications both maths and English are taught through weekly session's whether this be GCSE's or Functional Skills, again depending on learner's prior attainment and initial assessment. There are placement options available through this route but it is unusual for these to commence at the start of the programme and are very much considered on an individual basis.
