This course will provide a basic introduction for parents on interpreting their children's behaviours, understanding triggers for anxiety and building strategies to communicating more effectively as a family. The courses are themed and topics include raising a resilient child, transition from Primary to Secondary school, coping with anxiety/depression, raising self esteem, cyber bullying and many more. Courses will be delivered in an informal classroom environment using a variety of tutor led and group based activities. All materials will be provided This course will not provide you with a formal qualification, but you will receive a certificate upon successful completion As a result of this course you will have the skills to create a calmer family dynamic at home and communicate more effectively with your children. If you would like to continue your learning you could consider enrolling on a further parenting course through the Family Resource Team (0118 977 5611) or Children's Centre:-Incredible Years Baby course-Incredible Years 0-5's course-Triple P Primary course-Incredible Years 4-8 years course-Triple P Teens Course. Or you could enrol on another adult education course to further improve your skills.
