This course is suitable for anyone wanting to learn more about a career within the Beauty Sector and to develop skills in skincare and learn about skin types. No previous skills are necessary. A good standard of literacy is required. If English is not your first language ESOL Level 1 is required. You will learn the benefits and effects of skincare treatments. You will be given tutor demonstrations and carry out the treatments on your peers. You will learn the benefits and effects of skincare treatments. Assessment will be continuous. Your Tutor will assess your progress and understanding through practical observation and you will build a portfolio of evidence. You will gain the Nocn Level 1 Award in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development with the relevant Hair and / or Beauty units Natural progression would be to NOCN Level 1 Award in Skills for Employment or City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate in Working in the Hair & Beauty Sector. You will need to bring a folder to build your evidence. Your tutor will advise each week of any additional items you may need.
