Creative Writing: Improvers

This course is suitable for anyone who has some experience of creative writing and would like to further develop their understanding of the subject, their creative writing skills, and their confidence in writing. None are essential, but a good command of English would be advantageous, while some experience of and interest in creative writing would be useful. You will practice skills in writing prose, poetry and script, and will discuss published work as examples. You will develop your own ideas, and have the opportunity to discuss your work with other class members. A mixture of small group discussions and interactive activities and individual tasks. There is no formal assessment for this course, but you will receive continual feedback from your tutor and comments from your fellow class members An internal Newcastle City Learning Certificate. You can progress onto other creative writing courses. None, other than a pen and some paper. Help with numeracy or literacy is available. ICT drop-in sessions are available during term time and are open to all learners.
