Who is this for? Students do not need any prior knowledge of the subject. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to develop their listening and counselling skills. For those working in situations where communication and one to one interviews or interactions take place. For anyone who is interested in progressing into further counselling training. What Will I Learn? By the end of the course you should be able to: Understand a range of interpersonal skills and qualities. Understand when and how to use these skills. Understand the importance of ethics, values and beliefs when using interpersonal skills. Be able to use a range of skills in a role-play. Be able to review own skills and reflect on progress. On the Course: These courses introduce trainees to listening and helping skills which can be used in everyday life, as well as basic counselling concepts. Content of the Course These courses introduce trainees to initial counselling skills and basic counselling concepts, which can be used in everyday life. They also allow progression to the higher CPCAB Counselling Skills courses. Students are assessed through a portfolio of evidence. Students do not need any prior knowledge of the subject.
