GCSE English

UPDATED 20160920 14:19:34

What are the overall aims of the course? The course offers you the opportunity to study and gain a pass grade at an internationally recognised qualification that is considered one of the most important and often a conditional requirement of entry to many careers, training and higher education courses. During the course you will identify, develop and gain the skills necessary to express yourself accurately in everyday life and work through writing, reading and speech. On completion of the course you will know how to confidently write a variety of texts used in everyday life. Progressing through each stage of the course, you will also steadily develop your reading skills and crucially discover the reason why writers write the way they do. By working together in small, friendly groups, you will gain the self-confidence to speak and express your own thoughts, ideas and opinions with clarity and self-assurance. Your tutor will give you more information about the course at your first session.
