To become a successful artist you will need to have a wide range of skills using a variety of media and techniques. This course is for anyone who has an ability and willingness to design, draw, paint, construct and create artwork using both traditional and digital media. You will need to have an interest in the work of other artists, as well as an ability to recognise and appreciate others' skills and working methods. You will also need to take advice and criticism and be open to other people's tastes and design needs; some of the project briefs given to you will take on issues such as equality and diversity, environmental issues and the Third World.
