This course has been designed to develop knowledge understanding and practical skills required to work in the agricultural industry at an operational and management level. It considers the management of a wide range of mixed farming systems in an applied 'hands-on' context. This course is designed to enable you to understand and apply the principles of agriculture and farm enterprise management to foster your own career progression and has been developed following consultation with local and national representatives from industry. The first stage provides an introduction to farming systems. The second stage develops knowledge of modern advances in agricultural science farm marketing and diversification sustainable crop production livestock production and dairy soil management and farm business management. The third year includes a study of advanced agricultural sciences and integrated farm management
