Introduction to Smart Phones and Tablets

The aim of this short two week course (2 hours per week) would be to increase confidence in the use of smart phones and tablets. It would include; * Basic features - use of wifi, volume controls, apps etc. * Communication (phone, email and video calling - e.g.Skype) * Access to Internet * Social media * Basic security awareness The course would be aimed at those people who may have been given or bought a mobile device but are not making full use of it. As a result of attending the course learners will be able to use electronic methods to communicate more effectively, develop skills to access digital content and know how to access information online. The overall aim of the course would be to reduce social isolation by participating in group activities and using electronic methods for communication.
