This course is highly successful and dynamic and is a must for all those who have a genuine interest in photography and moving image. You will be taught how to use a camera and be introduced to other digital media techniques including Adobe photoshop and a variety of different post-capture manipulations. Dark room experience is an essential element of the course, therefore access to a film loaded camera is required, although digital images can be produced after the initial orientation. Digital art, animation and film work can also be incorporated into project work. The second year of study should see you mature as an image maker. Greater attention is paid to responding to the work of others and you will have more ownership and responsibility for your coursework. Trips (involving London galleries, a residential weekend in Dorset and an optional residential trip to Italy in February half term) and extra-curricular commitment help to make this photography course the top performer in the country and final year work is original and ambitious.
