This course will teach you about basic food hygiene. You will learn about: Bacteriology Prevention of contamination and food poisoning Personal hygiene Premises, equipment and pest control Cleaning and disinfection Temperature control Hazard analysis critical control points Food Safety LegislationThis course will Improve your acquisition of skills for training, employment or self employment and may help support your participation in community volunteering, civic engagement and social integrations.This course is only available at the quoted (subsidised) price to individuals, people working for third sector organisations (charities, voluntary and community groups, cooperatives, etc.), or free for people meeting the eligibility criteria. This course is free to learners who are in receipt of JSA / ESA (WRAG) / Income Support (WRAG) / Universal Credit (Mandated Skills Training only) or on any other State Benefit, unemployed and taking this course to help gain employment now or in the future.This course is subsidised by Government funding so you should aim to attend the whole session. This course is for complete beginners so you do not need any previous experience in the subject. Other courses at the next level may be offered by Skills & Learning or other local providers.
