Sport BTEC Certificate This course leads to a worthwhile and recognised qualification in Sport as well as provide a range of opportunities and experiences to students who are prepared to go one step further and take a proactive approach to the course. As part of this course students will also complete the Higher Sports Leader Award (HSLA). Students that select this course will also be part of our unique ‘Partners into Work’ programme. This is the only programme of its type in the borough that is led in conjunction with Sport North Tyneside. Students will be taught the employability skills that will enable them to make a more efficient transition into the working industry. Students have taken part in residential trips, volunteering projects; including the London Olympics and Street Games, coaching training courses and qualification courses. For some this has resulted in employment as part of the Sport North Tyneside Development team.
