This is a qualification course in mathematics at level 2 (GCSE). It is assessed by examination at the end of the course. There are two papers and learners must attend both. Dates and times of the papers are externally planned and cannot be negotiated by the learner as this is a nationally set qualification. The course follows the foundation syllabus and candidates can achieve a maximum of grade C, Higher Tier grades A* - D available.
