This is a relaxed and friendly course to introduce you to practical sewing skills that can be applied to clothes, cushions and simple soft furnishings. During the course you will build up a collection of worked examples to refer to once the course has ended. The course will cover the following: Advice on what to include in a sewing kit. How to make a simple envelope cushion cover. How to put in/replace a zip. Sewing machine practise. How to hem, sew up a seam and attach a button. Information on relevant websites, books and both local and national events.
