(8 Days) Delivery timings: 9.30am to 2.30pm (to accommodate individuals with care responsibilities) QCF Accredited: Yes Overview of Content: This programme will assist the individual in understanding the business of retail, how this uses teamwork, the customer service skills involved, issues surrounding security and health & safety requirements in the workplace. The ways stock is handled, stored and sold, and consumer law is also addressed. It also introduces learners to the different types of retail, the supply chain and the many occupations found in this sector. The additional Barrier Busters programme is the learners’ next steps and this will focus on allowing the learners to career plan their move into the sector, become familiar with ‘key’ industry related wording, unravel the requirements of job descriptions and person specifications and their relationship and use within interviews. To make applications, know where to look for hidden job opportunities and to deal (where applicable) with the disappointment of not initially being successful at interview with positivity and resilience.
