The BA(Hons) Film curriculum offers you the freedom to explore your own area of interest within the broad context of Film. You will be given the opportunity to combine academic investigation with industrial practice needs to fully develop your understanding of your chosen niche. The investigation, critical decision making and research skills you will acquire are planned in keeping with the versatility of the demands of the industry. It is intended that on completion of your final year, you should be fully equipped to meet the challenges and demands of the current employment market and have the necessary skills to meet a variety of current sector demands.

The course is based both on practical and theoretical study, which will be reflected in the method of assessment; practical work will typically be assessed through the presentation of a body of work in portfolio or exhibition form, whilst written work will be presented in essays, reports or journals, including the completion of a dissertation at Level Six.
