L1 – POSITIVE STEPS (SETPD AWARD) Delivery hours: 15 Hrs. Delivery Sessions: 3 days x 5 hrs. Delivery timings: 9.30am to 2.30pm (to accommodate individuals with care responsibilities) QCF Accredited: Yes Learning Aim Reference: 601/0948/8 Overview of Content: Targeted at those Learners who have complex barriers to gaining employment which having moved successfully through the areas of confidence building and motivation, yet are still not quite ready to attend sector based training course or move into employment due to attitudinal/work ethical barriers. The programme has 3 distinctive stages: Stage 1 - Self assessment, self-management, communication & interpersonal skills Assess and evaluate oneself or ones actions, attitude, or performance. Take responsibility for your own behaviour and well-being and improve your speech and writing. Stage 2 - Confidence & assertiveness building, personal presentation & emotional intelligence Improve your belief and faith in yourself and others. Stand up for your own and other peoples rights in a positive and well-mannered way without being negative and accepting the wrong. Practise your personal presentation to give off a better impression. Stage 3 - Work experience, standing out from the crowd, making the most of your experience, employment rights & responsibilities Enjoy a short-term experience of employment. Become more responsible by having a duty to deal with something or having control over someone. What will the learner achieve: Level 1 Award in Skills for Employment, Training & Personal Development.
