What will I do on this study programme? This is a practical study programme where you will work hands-on with a large range of animals. This study programme will include the BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Animal Care, which includes a number of units which include; animal feeding, health and welfare, animal behaviour, breeding and grooming and animal nursing. This study programme also includes; tutorial support, study skills, work related experience, employability skills and personal and social development (PSD). How will I be assessed? Observations of practical activities, group work, coursework, presentations and examinations. What options do I have after successfully completing? Animal Care, BTEC Diploma or another Level 2 qualification. Job/career opportunities A career in the animal care industry, for example, veterinary practices animal technician, animal welfare officers.
