This course is designed to give you extended skills and knowledge associated with Site Carpentry. It develops your hand tool skills, safe operation of portable power tools and further develops your understanding of timber technologies and their impact within the construction Industry. This Level 2 course is very practical with the majority of sessions delivered within our carpentry workshops and reinforced by classroom sessions. During this course you will undertake a series of units including Safe working practices Information, quantities and communicating with others Building methods Construction technology First fixing operations Second fixing operations Erecting structural carcasses Carrying out maintenance Setting up and operating a circular saw. The course is based in the well-equipped facilities at our South West Skills Campus in Weston-super-Mare, just south of Bristol.
