This programme is designed to provide a highly specialised qualification, focusing on the knowledge and practical skills required for employment within the legal sector. It is based in the modern facilities at our Knightstone Campus in Weston-super-Mare, just south of Bristol. The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Law is equivalent to one A level and attracts similar UCAS Points. It is graded Pass, Merit, Distinction and Distinction. On successful completion of the qualification you may continue into Higher Education in this area or obtain employment. What will I study? (Core Modules) Dispute solving in the legal system Understanding law making Aspects of legal liability You will also study 3 other optional law modules. How will I be assessed? The course is a 100% coursework based qualification. This will be internally verified and externally moderated. What will the course prepare me for? This nationally recognised vocational qualification will provide you with a range of skills to allow you to access employment opportunities within the legal sector. It is also welcomed by the majority of universities for entry to degree courses, such as a Foundation Degree's in Business or Law. How much private study should I expect to do? The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Law requires at least 4 hours per week of independent study.
