The BTEC National Diploma in Sports performance and Excellence is a practical, work related course, it is equivalent in size to 2 A-levels. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands as well as written examinations and a task. The course is multi-disciplinary, encouraging the development of a range of skills and emphasising independent learning. It combines theory with practical work, and is taught and assessed through activities closely related to the sports industry. As well as formal teaching and practical activities, the course will include role-play, group work, discussions and debates, research, visiting speakers and visits to external organisations.
