UPDATED 20160909 06:30:58

Silver based photography has been the vehicle for creating photographs since 1839, and will still have a role for the foreseeable future. Silver based photography is different from digital photography, in its use to create images. Once you have mastered the techniques with non battery dependent cameras, you will have access to high quality equipment at a fraction of the cost of the digital equivalent. On this course you will learn: - How images are captured on film and paper - Different types of camera for particular tasks - Different types of film and formats and their application - How the images are processed and how they can be displayed - How the images can be digitalised for manipulation, filing and communication A college certificate can be awarded on request when you complete the course. This course is essentially a practical class with hands on learning.Students can progress onto further photography courses - please browse the website for details.
