The workshops and beginners course will introduce you to the basic skills, including casting on and off; Garter stitch; stocking stitch and how to follow a knitting pattern. The longer knitting skills course will allow you learn how to shape your knitting with increasing and decreasing patterns and develop your skills further.There will be some demonstration but the course is mainly practical. Stitches will be explored, students will learn how to follow a knitting pattern and will begin a small project.The college offers a number of other courses in Knitting, including a year long accredited course.
