The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting provides progression opportunities to further AAT qualifications and a choice of great careers, including progress onto the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting and a route to HE. Benefits associated with this Level 3 qualification include UCAS points. The Diploma in Accounting qualification also provides the foundation skills required to support the establishment of a healthy business. This qualification is suitable for those who have completed the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, or are at a more intermediate level and looking to develop their skills in accounting. The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is also suited to those who have already started working in finance and who have a need and desire to attain formal recognition of their skills. This purpose of this unit is to provide the background knowledge and skills needed to be capable of drafting accounts for sole traders and partnerships and provides background knowledge of the regulations governing company accounts. Financial accounting techniques and knowledge already acquired will be developed to prepare accounting records when records are incomplete.Each unit of the full qualification is studied and assessed separately and each unit may take up to 12 weeks. Successful completion of all units will result in a Level 3 Diploma in Accounting being awarded by the AAT. The course is delivered through the colleges E Learning providers online learning environment and supported by regular contact from the course administrator. Study text books and online resources are supplied upon commencement and supplemented by email and telephone support from qualified tutors, as well as individual 1:1 tutorial upon request.
