The sessions will mostly be a mixture of theory and practical work and you will undertake portraiture, interior architectural photography, night photography, flash photography, still life and close-up photography as a means of developing an insight into the course aims. There will be at least two field trips, one walking around Shrewsbury and another in a church or similar-sized location. You will cover: the SLR camera and its controls, focal length, prime lenses, zoom lenses, shutter speeds, apertures, depth of field, film speed, colour temperature, filters, composition and lighting. There will also be one session on image manipulation for photographers with Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
