On this course you will study twelve mandatory units including communication in health and social care, health and safety, duty of care, the role of the health and social care worker and safeguarding individuals. You then have a choice of optional knowledge and competence units covering different areas of health and social care such as care of individuals with urethral catheters, tissue viability risk assessments, wound care, electrocardiograph procedures and end of life care or specialism in mental health or dementia.
