The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to work with children between birth and five years with knowledge of children up to seven years or to progress onto the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator) The areas you cover on this course are: health and well-being legislation, frameworks and professional practice play, development and learning for school readiness You learn through practical activities, written work and work placements. The placements at local early years providers are arranged through the College. There you will gain knowledge and skills of working with children and support their learning and development. There are a wide range of assessment methods to meet individual learning preferences Tutorials support you with meeting the targets set for written work. You are observed in placement by a designated assessor, placement officer and personal tutor to help you meet the learning outcomes set out by the awarding body (CACHE).
