This is a course for results-focused individuals, driven by the desire to improve an individual's overall appearance. This is a full time ONE year programme run over 36 weeks with attendance in college THREE days a week. The course is made up of the below units Mandatory units Health and Safety practice in the salon Client care and communication in the beauty industries Provide eyelash and brow treatment Provide facial skin care Remove hair using waxing techniques Provide Pedicure treatments Provide Manicure treatments Optional units Provide nail art Apply make up Units will be delivered and assessed through a variety of practical activities and online exams. Maths and English English and maths are integral to gaining employment and are included on every study programme to support your development and progression in these important skills. With this in mind you will need to attend Functional skills English/maths or GCSE in English/maths depending on your previous attainment This will be discussed at interview and confirmed when you enrol

Entry requirements

Students will be required to purchase a uniform and a kit prices are available from the Learner Services Team on request. In addition there may be extra curricular trips which have additional costs. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs. As with all FE college courses, you will also be expected to provide your own stationary and always attend college fully equipped for lessons with a folder, note paper and writing implements.
