This course is for learners who wish to work towards Institute of British Sign Language (IBSL) Entry Level 1 in British Sign Language Studies to enable them to converse at a simple and basic level with people who are deaf Sign language users. Topics we will cover: Common courtesies Personal Information (basic) Work, School and / or College - everyday signs (basic) Using numbers (basic) Weather (basic) Timeframes (basic) / seasonal variants Signing Structure, including basic sign principles Use of simple linking conventions and prepositions Personal pronouns and possessives Simple day to day activities What do I need to bring? A pen to fill in the enrolment forms. Bring a Ring Binder Folder to collect the handouts. Handouts will be provided.
