Part 1 of a musical odyssey through Handel's Italian language operas. Starting with 'Almira' (1705) and including his first London opera 'Rinaldo' (1711), we'll study the plots, learn about recitative, aria and musical irony and discover the stories behind these great works.Tutor: Dr Edward Breen (external website) Break week: 24th October.
