Calculus is one of the great intellectual achievements of the modern age. Discover paradoxes of the continuum, Enlightenment theories of change, the nineteenth-century quest for rigour and the geometric miracles they produced. This course assumes you are familiar with material covered in the preparatory course, 'Philosophy & history of maths: a brief introduction'. If you have not attended the latter, you will need to complete an assessment.
