This course is designed to train and develop further the skills of lecturers. The course is the next level up after doing the award, which is the basic introduction to teaching. The main focus of the qualification is session delivery, ideas for outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, as well as a general understanding of the education sector and key aspects. The course has mixed assessment methods, including written assessments, discussions, group presentations, gathering examples of teaching, learning and assessment materials and most importantly observations to support you with your teaching practice. This is the first year of the DET qualification. The first year (CET) leads directly to the DET in year two, once CET assessment has been awarded
