These courses are aimed at learners who are looking to develop a broader range of personal and social skills through the practical application of English, maths and IT skills. Learners will be supported to take part in a range of classroom -based and community projects as well as volunteering opportunities to boost their confidence and become work ready. Learners attend three sessions a week and will progress towards qualifications in English, math, ICT, Employability and Personal and Social Development. All of our courses are delivered by experienced and supportive staff and work to the RARPA quality standard (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement). This means that your tutor will carry out the following and will explain this more fully during the course: (1) Set clear programme aims. (2) Find out what you already know and what you want to achieve. (3) Work with you to agree learning outcomes for you. (4) Assess your progress during the course and give you feedback on this. (5) Assess your achievement with you at the end of the course. Your tutors will explain this more fully during the course.
