Upholstery - workshop - beginners/improvers

Learn the skills necessary to re-upholster and carry out basic repairs to the frames for a range of antique and modern furniture using traditional and modern methods and materials. Particular attention will be paid to the correct and safe use of specialist tools and equipment, the selection and use of a variety of furnishing and upholstery materials, and design ideas. Beginners will be able to complete a small footstool or simple drop-in seat chair as a starter project, and depending on your progress you may be able to begin work on a simple armchair project of your choice with guidance from the tutor. Returning learners should bring along their current project work or new chair project.
