Personal skills - short mat bowls

This course is a 35 week course and part of a discrete curriculum for Adults with Learning Difficulties. Learn to improve co-ordination. Participate in class warm up session. Learn to stand correctly on the mat. To use the wood in a controlled way. To show how to hold the wood correctly, demonstrating which side is weighted. To experience rules needed to play Short Mat Bowls. To learn and to improve Basic skills: forehand, backhand, bowl bias, techniques for handling and releasing bowl. Game strategies. Scoring. Competitive play. Improved confidence and personal development.
