Arts and crafts - pottery

This is a 35 week course in the Supported Learning Curriculum for Adults with Learning Difficulties. You will learn basic pottery, to confidently handle clay & use a range construction & decorative techniques: pinch pot; slabs, moulds & other objects; coils & combinations; slip, paper & wax resist, glazing & use of oxides. To increase social skills and. To join in discussions. To positively express own opinion & appraisal of peers in class group. To develop personal creativity using sketch books; looking at examples of finished work; researching in books & on the internet. Design a project planning decorative style & form. To work independently or with support from Support Workers. To record & demonstrate progress. To create a portfolio of evidence of learning and achievement on the course.
