Pottery - open studio - beginners - throwing and handbuilding - spring

This course is designed for beginners or those with a little experience wishing to improve their skills. This class is an 'open studio' class which allows any adult interested in learning pottery to enrol. You will learn how to employ appropriate making methods to achieve the forms you aim for. You will be introduced to several ways of applying decoration to your ceramic forms. Some basic theory and history of ceramics will be touched upon in the context of making. You will also learn some basic good workshop practice and how to operate safely in pottery.

A small charge is included in the course fee for basic art materials. You may be asked to provide additional materials / tools etc. for your course.
