You will study practical units in a realist work environment as you develop skills in the following: - Poultry - Meat - Fish - Soups - Desserts - Sauces - Pastry. You will also study theory based units in the classroom and can expect to cover the following areas related to the industry: - Professional Cookery - Food and Drink Service - Health and Safety in the Workplace If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).
