You will develop advanced techniques through practical and theoretical based sessions that will also further develop your understanding of electrical and electronic engineering. You will cover the following units: - Health and Safety in the Engineering Workplace - Communications for Engineering Technicians - Engineering Project - Mathematics for Engineering Technicians - Mechanical Principles and Applications - Electrical and Electronic Principles You will also study 2 additional units that have been handpicked by the lecturing staff to get you career ready. These Units May Include: - Computer Aided Design - Application of CNC in Engineering - Thermodynamics - Advanced Mechanical Principles - Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials - Further Mathematics. These actual units offered are subject to review as per local need and might differ from those listed above. Contact the Curriculum Manager for Engineering for confirmation. It should be noted that there is a wide use of mathematics throughout this Engineering course. If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D).
