You will work in our industry standard recording studios, rehearsal rooms and computer suites to complete practical assignments based around musical performance and technology. This work will be supported by contextual and theoretical studies to provide you with a broad understanding of the industry. Lessons will include discussions, tutorials and assignments based on the following: - Music & Society - The Sound and Music Industry - Arranging & Composing Music - Music Events Management - The Functional Music Keyboard - Music Theory & Harmony - Marketing and Promotion in the Music Industry - Music & Sound for the Moving Image - Sound Creation and Manipulation Towards the end of the course you will produce a major music project that will serve to demonstrate your development and your own individual style. If you have not yet achieved a grade C (or above) in GCSE English and maths, you will be required to attend GCSE resit sessions (if you achieved grade D) or functional skills sessions (if you achieved grade E or below).
