Italian Beginners How will this course help me? The course aims to develop your skills and knowledge of the language and culture Who is the course for? The course is designed for people who have little or no knowledge of the language. What can I expect to learn? The course will cover some of the following topics: (To be agreed with tutor at first session) Greetings / Personal information Food and drink Directions / Travel Shopping Accommodation Numbers. How will I learn? There are no exams or formal assessments. A variety of communicative activities will be used such as: role play, games and listening to audio files. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? You will need to bring a pen and paper. At the first session the tutor will discuss the course outline and will carry out an initial informal assessment to ensure that this is the right course for you. Will there be any other costs? (e.g. materials, books, registration with a professional body, etc.? You may be provided with a reading list to support your learning. All of the costs of this course are covered in the advertised course fee. What can I do next? You may wish to progress to our next term beginners/improvers course.
