Zumba Gold® How will this course help me? Zumba Gold ® will improve your heart strength and fitness levels through dance movements put together in an aerobic style. Who is the course for? All Abilities. Zumba Gold is a lower impact version of this fun new style of exercise. If you have been referred by a health professional you are encouraged to explore the full range of options and opportunities open to you. What can I expect to Learn? Zumba Gold ® is an excellent cardiovascular form of exercise that builds heart strength in addition to some muscular strength and toning benefits for arms, legs and torso. The modified moves and pacing of this course will suit the needs of the older participant as well as those who are starting on a keep fit programme. How will I learn? There may be demonstrations, a chance to ask questions and to practice at your own pace. There are no exams or formal assessments. If you think you may need extra help with your learning, please ask your tutor or the Centre staff. We will try to help you. How will I know how well I am doing? The tutor will help you to recognise how well you are doing and what you need to do to improve. This may include developing your own learning plan. Will I have to do any work outside of the sessions? You may be given tasks or activities to complete to practice in between and prepare for the next and future sessions. You tutor will give guidance at the first session. What will I need to provide? Please dress in an appropriate style for exercise. Dance sneakers with a light grip would be the ideal and your tutor can advise. Learners are discouraged from eating a large meal before the class begins. You will complete a confidential Initial Health Assessment questionnaire.
